ARTICLE 1 : Object
The French Environment and Energy Management Agency (hereafter designated as ADEME), a Public Agency with industrial and commercial vocation, defined by the July 26th, 1991 Order n°91-732, headquartered at 20, avenue du Grésillé – BP 90406 – 49004 Angers Cedex 01, has been mandated by all the European Commission supported ‘Kyoto in the Home’ Project partners to organise a contest for secondary school classes. The outcome of this contest will be that one class from one of the eight participating countries (Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and United Kingdom) will win a prize, that prize being the entire class’s participation in the Green Week organised in June 2008 in Brussels by the European Commission.
ARTICLE 2 : The city built with the Ecoville Game must be sent to ADEME by April 26th 2008. The winning city will be selected by a project committee that will grade each of the propositions received. Results will be made public on May 28th, 2008.
ARTICLE 3 : To register and participate in the Contest, you must fill in the registration sheet online and send us your city before the given in Article 2..
Participation in the contest is free and there is no purchase obligation. Participation is limited to those schools participating in the “Kyoto in the Home” project (in any of the 8 countries involved in this project).
The participation of minors must take place under the responsibility of a school teacher. Only one participation per establishment is allowed (same name, same address, same email address). Participation is limited to one entry per school. Any fraud here will invalidate the candidate.
ARTICLE 4 : Contest Organisation. The contest addresses itself to the school establishments from the 8 countries participating in the Kyoto in the Home project. Each class must send its candidate city electronically before the date indicated in the Article 2. Each proposition will be attributed a grade based on the game scores obtained (concentrations of greenhouse gases, quantity of energy produced and consumed, quantity of waste produced and treaded).
The class whose city obtains the best grade will be declared winner of the contest.
ARTICLE 5 : Results will be communicated to all participants by email on May 28th, 2008.
ARTICLE 6 : Each student of the winning class will receive an eco-designed backpack. A special prize will also be given to the teacher of the winning class. |
